Grey.
White.
Placed by hand through the Dabu process.
The body carries thin vertical stripes in black, grey and white, creating a disciplined rhythm from one end of the saree to the other.
Stripes lengthen the drape.
Gold defines the edge.
A thin golden zari border with diamond-shaped motifs frames the linear body with a different geometry.
The pallu shifts the composition again, alternating panels of zari with diamond-shaped motifs.
Lines through the body.
Diamonds at the edge.
Zari panels at the close.
Orderly without becoming rigid.
According to the supplied craft information, Dabu is a mud-resist hand block printing tradition of Rajasthan. A resist paste made from mud and natural binders is pressed onto the cloth with carved wooden blocks before dyeing. When the paste is washed away, the resisted pattern remains.
Every impression is placed individually by hand, block beside block, so small shifts in alignment belong naturally to the character of the cloth.
Worked in Rajasthan using the hand block print method, with a supplied making time of approximately 12–15 days.
The blouse piece is plain grey Chanderi silk with a zari and diamond motif border.
Tailored in spirit, and very good at work.

Black, grey and white stripes give the body its disciplined rhythm, while gold, diamonds and zari panels bring measured contrast to the border and pallu.
In Rajasthan's Dabu tradition, mud resist is pressed onto cloth with carved wooden blocks before dyeing, allowing repeated pattern to retain the small shifts of handmade work.
