Mati Rekha — lines in the earth.
Black and dark brown stripes run through a Chanderi ground.
Quiet.
Graphic.
Deliberately restrained.
The body carries black and brown stripes with a large off white leaf skirt border.
But the two edges do not behave alike.
Big leaf motifs appear on one side, while the other carries a horizontal panel.
The asymmetry is intentional.
Change the drape and the saree changes with it.
The pallu introduces another geometry: brown and white dotted circular motifs with black and white stripes.
Lines.
Leaves.
Circles.
Different forms held inside one controlled palette.
According to the supplied craft information, Ajrakh is a centuries-old resist block-printing tradition of Kutch. The fabric passes through successive stages of resist printing, dyeing, washing and drying, with hand-carved blocks aligned carefully to build the design layer by layer.
Here, that Ajrakh vocabulary is worked on Chanderi — bringing Kutch's hand block printing onto a lighter ground.
Hand block printed in Ajrakhpur (Bhuj), Gujarat, with a supplied making time of approximately 10–15 days.
The blouse piece shifts material and pattern: cotton with indigo polka dots.
Quiet, graphic and slightly severe.

Care & handmade variations +
Dry clean only.
Mati Rekha is hand block printed using the Ajrakh process. Slight variations in block alignment, resist-dyed forms, colour distribution and printed details may naturally occur. These are part of the handmade character of the textile and should not automatically be considered defects.
Shipping & final sale +

Black and brown stripes establish the rhythm, but the asymmetric border changes the composition — large off white leaves on one side, a horizontal panel on the other.
Hand block printed in Ajrakhpur, Kutch, Ajrakh builds pattern through successive stages of resist printing, dyeing, washing and drying, with carefully aligned blocks adding depth layer by layer.
