Os Bindu — drops of dew.
Small white dots scatter across grey Kota Doriya.
Light.
Repeated.
Almost quiet enough to disappear into the field.
The body carries small white dots all over, each placed through the Dabu hand block printing process.
Then the scale changes at the edge.
A thin golden zari border with large diamond-shaped motifs gives the restrained body a stronger geometric frame.
The pallu continues those diamonds in thin strips of diamond-shaped motifs.
Dots through the body.
Large diamonds at the edge.
Fine diamond strips at the close.
The body stays almost silent so the border can speak.
According to the supplied craft information, Dabu is a mud-resist hand block printing tradition of Rajasthan. A resist paste made from mud and natural binders is pressed onto the cloth with carved wooden blocks before dyeing. When the paste is washed away, the resisted pattern remains.
Every impression is placed individually by hand, block beside block, so small shifts in alignment belong naturally to the character of the cloth.
Worked in Rajasthan using the hand block print method, with a supplied making time of approximately 12–15 days.
The blouse piece changes the rhythm once more with thin white and grey stripes, a golden zari border and diamond-shaped motifs.
Understated, for days that need a clear head.

Os Bindu is hand block printed using the Dabu mud-resist technique. Since each impression is placed individually by hand, slight variations in the white dots, diamond motifs, resist pattern and alignment are natural characteristics of the craft.

Tiny white dots keep the grey field almost silent, allowing large diamond motifs and a narrow line of golden zari to take over at the border and pallu.
In Rajasthan's Dabu tradition, mud resist is applied with carved wooden blocks before dyeing, leaving repeated patterns whose subtle shifts reveal the hand behind them.
